DPS Final

This is my final draft of my double page spread I have only made a slight changes here of removing the black bar across the bottom of the left hand page. However to solve the previous issue of having too much white space I have added some branding into this section of the double page spread. I have done this by simply adding the text “Pulse December 2009” next to the page number in the appropriate colours and fonts. This simple change has entirely changed the white space without needing to fill it completely.
The second change I have made is that of the pull quote here I have made the text slightly bigger and instead of centring it have aligned it to the left hand side of the column like the rest of the text, this has also made the whole page have a much more professional feel to it.

DPS Draft Two

This is my second draft of my double page spread, I fixed the over blur by simply adding in the photo again, I have only blurred the image very subtly as it is clear it does not have the overall effect that I had originally hoped for! I have also fixed the small bags underneath Tash’s eyes by using the clone tool and again adding a slight Gaussian blur to her face to make her appear flawless.

DPS Draft One

This is my first draft of my double page spread however there is a very obvious mistake in it, behind Tash in the main image I have blurred the background but I have blurred it far too much and it is not making her stand out as it was suppose to instead it is attracting attention from the whole double page spread entirely! I have however successfully added in all the photographs to the film strip and the after interview photograph.
I edited the film strip photographs as planed and am very pleased with there turn out as the white background and red dress are both remaining bold even though they are the smallest images used in the whole double page spread.

photoshoot Images

These are some of the images from my double page spread photoshoot, the last photograph shown is my main image, the second to last will be cropped and used as the photograph for underneath the interview and the others are some examples of the photographs I have taken which I plan to use for the film strip. Overall I am extremely pleased with this shoot!

DPS Mock-Up 3

Both mock up two and three are created using photoshop however draft two is in black and white, this was by mistake and draft three corrects this mistake and adds in the colours of fonts. I have also replaced the colour of Cheryl’s dress to help myself imagine how the final double page spread will look as Tash will be wearing the same red dress as seen on the front cover. This will help me to decided whether or not there will be too much red and will allow me to change the colourings now rather than later on after the photographs have been taken.

DPS Mock-Up 2

This is my second mock up of my double page spread to make it seem more real I have used a photograph of Cheryl Cole and have added in the film strip. In this mock up I decided on the exact positioning and fonts. Unlike my first mock up I have added a thick black bar across the bottom of the left hand page as the film strip fills a similar size block on the other page and without this bar there is an unwanted white space.
